“I want to reveal the exploits of animals that are living without permission”
This is s a photo-documentary about the life and times of the Hepburn and Daylesford fox. I am interested in the way animals and humans are depicted in their struggle to live in the Australian landscape from my study of the paintings, prints and films available. Australia is the only developed country in which I have worked where environmentalists and even animal rights activists make such a sharp distinction between Native and the Introduced species. Has this rationale affected us in other ways? Does it effect how we see beings that do not collaborate with our grand schemes?
